& vegetables
A neighbourhood grocer, run as a proper company.
Alpek Stępień Sklepy Spożywcze Michał Stępień Spółka Jawna is a retail company based in Chełm. Our business is simple and clear: we run specialised food shops where people buy fruit, vegetables and other groceries for their homes.
A specialised shop means the shelves are built around the product. Fruit and vegetables get their own space, their own care and their own attention, instead of being one aisle among many. Customers can see what they are buying and choose it themselves.
Our work covers two registered retail activities: retail sale of fruit and vegetables in specialised stores, and retail sale of other food in specialised stores. Everything on this website describes what we do day to day.

Everyday vegetables for soups, salads and Sunday dinners: root vegetables, leafy greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and more.

When something is at its best, it moves to the front. We follow the Polish growing calendar and adjust the shelves as the weeks go by.

Why people shop with us
No big promises. Just five things we care about every day we open the doors.
Specialised, not scattered
Our shops are built for food, with produce at the centre. That focus shows in how products are stored and presented.
You choose your own
Look at it, pick it up, decide. Open display lets you select the pieces you want, in the amount you need.
A range for real cooking
Fresh produce next to everyday food products means one visit covers most of a normal week’s meals.
Transparent company
We are a registered Polish spółka jawna with a published address and contact email. You always know who you are buying from.
Rooted in Chełm
We work in the community we live in, which keeps us honest and close to what local customers ask for.
